The SWI-JACK allows you to retain the use of steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit.
The SWI-JACK controls Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Clarion and Blaupunkt radios with a wired remote input.
The SWI-JACK also retains the use of heater control buttons on GM vehicles.
The SWI-JACK has non-volatile memory which keeps all programming in memory even if the vehicle Battery is disconnected.

100% satisfied once I got the correct/working unit. Did add an automotive relay at the recommendation of the manufacturer (sent me a schematic). I mounted in a 2006 Tahoe with a Clarion radio.
Returned to Amazon. FINALLY got the product and installed and it works great. Spent a LONG time trying to get it to work (decent phone-in support from PAC) only to find out I had a faulty unit.
Many reviews spoke to a lag, buttons work instantly for me and flawlessly (so far). Amazon had best price by a decent margin. fast response but they sent me the wrong product the second time (wrong name on invoice and everything.
first time this has happened to me w/Amazon).
Once programmed and installed, the unit is very slow to respond with the Kenwood deck. I installed the SWI-JACK on our 2007 Honda Pilot to work steering controls for the new Kenwood DNX-9140. Spend your money elsewhere if you're installing on a Honda. I wish I would have saved the $50 on something else. The instructions were extremely difficult to follow and since our steering wheel radio controls have the 'mode' button, it wasn't clear if the black/red wires needed a capacitor or not (it states 'may or may not need a capacitor' and nothing on what dictates the need. The brown and red wire must be grounded though.
I could not be more pleased. I was able to assign any features to any of the buttons on my steering wheel. Installation was just a couple of wires and a few steps for programming.-Scott I ended up going to the web site to make sure I had the right information for installation in my Highlander Hybrid. It works great.
I would recommend this product to my friends. After using it for a few days the lag time didn't seem so bad vs not having steering wheel controls. It was delivered in a timely fashion and was straight forward to install and program. Anyone who can install a stereo can install this product.It works as I expected for my JVC stereo, thought there is a lag time responding to button presses.
It took several hours to install, but it works great with the wheel controls in my Toyota. Bought this to install with an aftermarket Kenwood Navigation 7120 on my 08 Toyota Tacoma.
